AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences (ABSMIDS) is the international academic affiliate of ODC and is a unit of the NITTE Education Trust based in Mangalore, India. NITTE is a charitable trust committed to providing quality education and healthcare services throughout India. Established in 1979, the Trust has a network of 22 educational institutions offering graduate and postgraduate programmes to over 8,000 students and 3,000 collaborators.

Founded in 1985, ABSMIDS offers the BDS undergraduate degree as well as postgraduate higher degrees including MDS and PhD, and is recognised by the Dental Council of India. It is also an affiliate of Okayama University Dental School, Japan and is among the handful of elite institutions outside the UK to be recognised as a centre of training for specific courses by the Royal College of Surgeons in the UK.

ABSMIDS is highly regarded both in the Indian subcontinent and internationally for its ongoing contribution to education. It has many years of management experience in setting up and running medical and dental programmes and has a large faculty from which high quality teaching resources are drawn.
