The medium of instruction at Oman Dental College is English and for those who require, up to 750 contact hours are allocated towards the training in English Language skills, particularly in the key areas of comprehension, speaking and writing. Our experienced English teachers are mostly native English speakers. .The students are also trained in Information and Communication Technology, numeracy and learning skills. The Predental foundation year is designed to provide you with a strong foundation in preparation for the academic component of the BDS programme.

Advance Standing: Applicants with international secondary qualifications who have studied in English (see Admissions and Entry requirements) and those who can provide evidence of English Language skills such as a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 or TOEFL score of 550 or iBT 80 are exempted from the predental foundation year.

Transfer Students: Rarely students from other institutions may be considered to transfer to ODC with advance standing. You would be required to challenge and pass the relevant ODC’s professional examinations. Please contact the Students Affairs for fees, eligibility and further information.
